it is
HOT
outside

the air is thick
to breathe

i’ve started sweating
at the elbows

and even i
am getting
uncomfortable

[but i’d still rather be outside,
though in the shade or breeze,
than inside where the a/c has been blasting
so hard, i start shivering…
shivering!
in the summertime!]

[maybe that’s a reason
to move to
paris…]
