quite literally ten years ago

this niche song
written for a show
that wasn’t even a musical
and was barely used in the production itself
[except as a scene-change song
and a mini-inside joke]
would have life
in an original music-making
music-sharing

a decade later
[the memories!]
kip made a haunted song
and a cursed song
and they both seem to be
too cursed
too haunted
for kip’s code to work normally
[it is a sad thing to see, but interesting, that the songs made
exactly for me and my tastes
are just so haunted and cursed
they break
code]
running through my head are
the carols kip included in
their hocus focus holiday lofi
that they made in record time
[the app as well as the ditty itself]
and the silly, almost spooky song
of lionel richie
remade for the land of lego
[and my nyc v/o debut]
and was this poem just a sneaky way
to share this house’s kipmas sucesses
with whomsoever reads this poem?
